CRNA - Anesthetist - Night Shift

About the role

The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) will provide anesthesia services during night shifts, working under the supervision of an anesthesiologist. The role supports a wide range of surgical and diagnostic procedures, including cardio‑thoracic operations and cardiac catheterizations, while also participating in the education of nurse‑anesthesia students.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and monitor anesthesia for diverse cases across inpatient, outpatient, trauma, cancer, and transplantation services.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure patient safety.
• Assist in clinical instruction and mentorship of nurse‑anesthesia students.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory and hospital standards.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
• Certified CRNA by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.

Required skills

• Anesthesia administration and monitoring.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
