About the role
The Health Unit Coordinator supports the smooth operation of the clinic by managing patient flow, handling documentation, and liaising with both clinical and administrative teams. This full‑time position is based in Marina, Nigeria and offers an entry‑level opportunity for candidates eager to start a career in healthcare administration.
Key responsibilities
- Greet patients, distribute and collect intake forms.
- Maintain the appointment calendar and other scheduling tools.
- Transcribe doctors’ orders and update patient charts with vital signs.
- Issue or locate required documents and ensure accurate record keeping.
- Update internal databases with patient information.
- Collaborate with medical and non‑medical staff to ensure coordinated care.
- Order supplies as needed and perform other assigned duties.
Required profile
- Strong communication and customer‑service orientation.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Team‑player attitude.
Required skills
- Experience using medical records and databases.
- Good knowledge of medical terminology.
- Medical transcription experience is a plus.
