Construction Manager

About the role

An Engineering Company is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead civil infrastructure delivery, overseeing site execution, resource management, survey interpretation, design adjustments and client liaison with government representatives.

Key responsibilities

• Direct day‑to‑day road construction activities from mobilisation to completion, supervising earthworks, sub‑grade preparation, asphalt/concrete paving, culverts and drainage systems.
• Interpret engineering surveys, use surveying instruments, adjust design drawings to match real‑time site conditions and enforce quality control.
• Coordinate workers, sub‑contractors, equipment operators and manage inventory of tools, materials and heavy machinery.
• Serve as the primary technical interface with clients, government bodies and local stakeholders, providing progress updates and resolving issues.
• Prepare internal reports for senior management and external progress reports for clients, conduct daily HSE inspections and mitigate operational risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Mandatory COREN certification.
• 5–10 years post‑qualification civil engineering experience, with at least 75% on road construction projects.
• Demonstrated experience liaising with government entities and public‑sector clients.
• Proven leadership of human resources, heavy machinery and subcontractors.
