Commercial Director

About the role

The Commercial Director will lead the development and execution of commercial strategies to drive revenue, market share and profitability for Elevare Human Solutions in Nigeria.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement medium‑ and long‑term commercial strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
• Set and manage revenue, sales volume, market share, margin and customer growth targets.
• Analyse consumer behaviour, competitor activity and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Design and expand distribution channels across general trade, modern trade, wholesale, key accounts and digital platforms.
• Lead brand positioning, portfolio development, consumer engagement and marketing strategy.
• Develop pricing, promotional and trade‑investment strategies to support competitiveness and profitability.
• Build, lead and develop a high‑performing commercial team and collaborate with finance, supply chain and operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Engineering or related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive FMCG commercial experience, including at least five years in senior commercial leadership.
• Proven track record of revenue growth, market‑share development, product launches and distribution expansion in Nigeria or other African markets.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian trade channels, distributor management and multi‑regional team leadership.
• Experience managing commercial budgets, profitability and cash‑collection processes.
