Collections Specialist – Merchant Lending

About the role

FairMoney is seeking a Collections Specialist to manage delinquent merchant and agent accounts. You will engage customers via phone, email and legal channels to secure overdue payments and help maintain the health of the loan portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Contact defaulting merchants and agents through telephone, email and other legal means to demand payment on overdue accounts.
• Maintain daily activity logs documenting calls, right‑party contacts, promises to pay and outcomes.
• Verify information on overdue arrears and follow up with calls.
• Negotiate payment plans and settlements to prevent accounts from rolling forward.
• Track payments by following up on pending promises.

Required profile

• University degree in any related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in consumer loan operations dealing with delinquent clients.
• High self‑motivation with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
