Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Finance & Operations

About the role

Renmoney is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead its finance function as it scales across Africa. The CFO will be a key member of the Executive Committee, partnering with the CEO, Board, investors, and regulators to drive sustainable growth and long‑term value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted adviser to the CEO, Board, and Executive Committee on all financial and strategic matters.
• Lead the development and execution of the company’s long‑term financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management processes.
• Provide strategic challenge and independent insight to support decision‑making across all business functions.
• Oversee finance, treasury, FP&A, tax, procurement, investor relations, regulatory reporting, capital management, and financial operations.
• Develop and execute funding and capital strategies, manage liquidity, and maintain adequate capital buffers.
• Build and lead high‑performing finance teams that deliver timely insights and strengthen governance.

Required profile

• Proven senior finance leadership experience, preferably as CFO or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to advise CEOs, Boards, and investors on strategic financial decisions.
• Strong track record in building high‑performing finance organisations.
