About the role
The Centrifugal Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring centrifugal machines that separate sugar crystals from mother liquor during the refining process. The role ensures consistent product quality and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and monitor centrifugal machines to efficiently purge molasses from sugar massecuite.
- Observe sugar crystal color and quality during the purging cycle to meet process standards.
- Set and adjust operational parameters such as speed, cycle time, and wash water.
- Assist in maintaining centrifugal machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Maintain station housekeeping and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Ensure compliance with QMS, FSSC, OHSAS, and other management systems.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Shift Centrifugal Supervisor.
Required profile
- OND in a science‑related discipline or High School certificate with relevant experience.
- Minimum two years of experience in the Food and Beverage industry.
- Experience in separation/centrifugation processes, preferably with sugar liquor.
