Mills Maintenance Supervisor (Electrical)

About the role

The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor will lead and coordinate electrical upkeep of milling assets, ensuring reliable plant operations and safety compliance. This role focuses on optimizing resource use, reducing downtime, and managing maintenance costs.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate electrical maintenance activities on milling equipment to maintain uninterrupted operations.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety policies, statutory electrical codes, and company standards.
• Plan, allocate, and schedule work for electrical technicians, optimizing resources and minimizing downtime.
• Identify and secure spare parts, materials, and tools needed for maintenance tasks.
• Monitor spare‑part usage, tool handling, and workmanship to reduce waste and rework.
• Track equipment performance and implement initiatives to lower downtime, repair time, and maintenance costs.
• Assess team performance, identify skill gaps, and provide training, coaching, and mentoring.
• Ensure timely closure of work orders and completion of preventive planned maintenance checklists.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a milling or industrial environment.
• Strong supervisory, planning, and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent problem‑solving, decision‑making, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of OHS policies and statutory electrical installation codes.
• Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM) execution.
• Spare‑parts and tool management.
