Mechanical Maintenance Manager

About the role

Manage the effective maintenance of all the machines in the mills to ensure that they are performing efficiently and effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and organize preventive maintenance of the relevant machines to ensure maintenance schedules are followed.
• Work on machine pro‑plant generated by the pro‑plan system.
• Ensure reduction of downtime to the barest minimum to prevent loss due to machine downtime.
• Plan and order spare parts and tools for maintenance work to avoid delay due to material availability.
• Document maintenance records for analysis and future reference.
• Provide technical training and development for subordinates to improve performance.
• Control usage of materials and tools for optimal efficiency of machines.
• Vet and recommend contract awards for third‑party maintenance services to ensure compliance with specifications.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance management processes, corrosion prevention techniques, pneumatics, and conveyor systems.
• Analytical skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues.
• Efficient planning and execution of maintenance schedules.
