Business Development Officer

About the role

MarbleClear Limited is looking for a commercially driven Business Development Officer to expand its solar, inverter and renewable‑energy solutions across Lagos and Ibadan. You will be responsible for generating qualified leads, building customer relationships and converting opportunities into paying customers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities for solar panels, inverter systems, batteries and related solutions.
• Generate leads through prospecting, referrals, networking, cold outreach, digital channels and field visits.
• Maintain a healthy pipeline of individual and corporate prospects.
• Understand client energy needs and propose appropriate solutions.
• Prepare and present quotations, proposals and commercial offers.
• Negotiate terms and close sales within approved limits.
• Develop relationships with SMEs, offices, estates, schools and property managers.
• Track leads, sales activities and pipeline metrics in CRM.
• Collaborate with technical and operations teams to ensure proper delivery.
• Support customer retention, referrals and repeat business after installations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• Open to NYSC corps members, recent graduates and experienced professionals.
• Previous experience in sales, business development or target‑driven environments is an advantage.
• Proven ability to prospect, follow‑up, negotiate and close sales.
• Strong communication, presentation and relationship‑management skills.
• Self‑motivated, resilient and comfortable working with limited supervision.

Required skills

• Ability to build and manage a sales pipeline independently.
• Experience in B2B sales or corporate account development (preferred).
• Knowledge of solar panels, inverters, batteries or alternative energy solutions (advantageous).
