Business Development Executive - Retail Payments

About the role

Kommandhub is hiring a Business Development Executive to sell its payment solutions to retail chains, supermarkets and growing retailers in Lagos. The role is remote, based in Lagos, and is offered as a 90-day contract with a clear path to a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and contact decision-makers at retail chains, supermarkets and growing retailers in Lagos
• Run discovery meetings to understand each business's challenges and goals
• Book paid audits and move qualified opportunities to the proposal stage
• Represent Kommandhub professionally at client meetings and industry events
• Keep the CRM accurate and up to date, and send a short daily progress update
• Share market feedback to help improve offers and sales materials

Required profile

• 3+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally selling payments, POS, ERP, software or digital agency services
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets, with results shown in numbers
• Strong understanding of how retail businesses buy and who makes the decisions
• Ability to explain technical products in simple, clear terms
• Excellent written and spoken communication
• Self-driven, organised and comfortable working remotely toward measurable goals
• Based in Lagos; a strong professional network in retail is a plus
