Assistant Accountant

About the role

Everight Diagnostic & Laboratory Services Ltd is hiring a full-time Assistant Accountant based in Abuja, FCT. The role covers day-to-day bookkeeping, invoice processing, expense monitoring and support of financial reporting and budgeting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation, with proper filing.
• Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers and other financial transactions.
• Assist with financial reporting, budgeting and account reconciliations.
• Monitor expenses, payments and outstanding balances.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and routine bookkeeping.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Must reside in Abuja, FCT.
• Professional accounting certification such as ICAN or ACCA is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
• Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
• Attention to detail, integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
