Area Phone Business Manager – Sapele, Delta State

About the role

The Area Phone Business Manager will lead Pay‑Go phone sales across the Sapele region, building and managing a network of commission‑based agents. You will translate Sun King’s phone‑business strategy into on‑the‑ground results, ensuring strong sales performance, high repayment quality, and disciplined inventory control in a fast‑moving device‑financing market.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard and certify new agents (Litmos Phase 1) and convert existing Sun King agents into phone‑selling partners.
• Drive monthly unit targets, monitor agent productivity, and apply micro‑incentives to boost performance.
• Coach agents on quality customer onboarding, follow up on defaults, and manage portfolio health (FPD, PAR30) in partnership with Credit & Operations.
• Maintain regular field contact through visits, ride‑alongs and coaching sessions; track exit reasons and implement retention actions.
• Oversee agent inventory levels, conduct monthly audits, reconcile stock movements and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Submit weekly compliance reports and uphold Sun King policies with zero tolerance for unethical practices.

Required profile

• HND or BSc in a business‑related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on field sales experience, preferably in PayGo, device financing or agent‑network environments.
• Strong knowledge of the assigned territory, trade routes and local market dynamics.
• Demonstrated ability to influence, train and retain a distributed sales force.
