About the role
We are seeking an Accountant to maintain accurate books and support financial operations within our logistics business in Abuja. The role involves handling day‑to‑day accounting tasks and ensuring compliance with Nigerian tax regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate books of account and daily financial records.
- Process invoices, payments, payroll, and expense claims.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
- Handle tax filings and ensure statutory compliance (FIRS, PAYE, VAT, pension).
- Monitor budgets, cash flow and operational costs.
- Support audits and provide financial insights to management.
Required profile
- B.Sc/HND in Accounting or related field; ACA, ACCA, ICAN, or AAT (or in progress) is an advantage.
- 2‑4 years of accounting experience, preferably in logistics or transport.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Required skills
- QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho Books or similar accounting software.
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
