About the role
The Accountant will join a mission‑driven community focused on empowering Nigerian creators and small businesses. This full‑time hybrid position combines on‑site work in Lagos with remote days.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare financial statements, support budgeting and forecasting, monitor cash flow, and assist with tax compliance and statutory filings.
- Implement and maintain internal controls and provide financial insights to support decision‑making.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (ICAN, ACCA) are a plus.
- Detail‑oriented professional able to work independently and collaborate with diverse teams in a hybrid setup.
Required skills
- Bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
- Financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and tax compliance.
- Proficiency with Excel and cloud‑based finance systems.
