Accountant – Financial Reporting & Tax Specialist

About the role

Our client, a reputable spice production company, is seeking an experienced Accountant to oversee all financial transactions, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and provide accurate financial insights to support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Compute taxes owed, prepare tax returns, and ensure timely filing.
• Administer payroll, control income and expenditures, and reconcile bank statements.
• Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, comparing actual costs to forecasts.
• Implement and document accounting systems using current technology.
• Provide management with regular financial performance reports and strategic advice.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of professional experience as an Accountant.
• BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting regulations.
• Detail‑oriented with solid analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with FreshBooks.
• Hands‑on experience with QuickBooks.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with general ledger functions.
