About the role
We are looking for an Account Officer to join Soteria Eye Clinic’s finance team in Lagos. The role involves managing day‑to‑day accounting activities, supporting financial reporting and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers and accounts.
- Record and reconcile daily transactions and bank statements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payments.
- Prepare monthly financial and management reports.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow monitoring.
- Prepare VAT, PAYE, withholding tax and other statutory returns.
- Support internal and external audits and maintain proper documentation.
- Assist with payroll preparation and verification.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
- High level of integrity, accuracy and confidentiality.
Required skills
- Proficiency with accounting software.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
