Account Officer – Hotel Finance (Full‑time)

About the role
The Hotel Accountant will manage all financial transactions for the hotel, ensure accurate record‑keeping, and support management with timely financial insights. This full‑time position is based in Abuja and reports to senior finance leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Record, classify and summarize daily financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable and perform general ledger reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and file tax returns on time.
- Process payroll and remit statutory deductions.
- Audit daily revenue reports and reconcile with front‑office and POS systems.
- Track operating expenses, conduct variance analysis and report discrepancies.
- Implement internal financial controls and support internal/external audits.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting and monitoring budget performance.
- Manage cash flow, bank reconciliations and safeguard financial assets.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Professional certification (ICAN or equivalent) is a plus.
- 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.
