Account Officer – Gboko, Benue

About the role

The Account Officer will support the finance function of Saro Agrosciences Limited at its Gboko depot, ensuring accurate accounting records and safeguarding company assets. This full‑time position plays a key role in maintaining financial integrity and providing timely reports for decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Post transactions and analyse account records.
• Perform inventory, customer and sales reconciliations.
• Maintain general ledger schedules and the fixed assets register.
• Prepare reliable reports covering IMS data, customer ledgers, stock records, purchases and health checks.
• Issue invoices, receipts and ensure proper filing of all financial documents.
• Manage the interface between the front office and back‑office finance team.
• Monitor cash handling to prevent loss.

Required profile

• OND qualification in Accounting.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Age between 23 and 35 years.
• Resident of the city of interest (Gboko/Benue).
• Ability to work under tight schedules and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Strong IT proficiency for handling accounting software and spreadsheets.
