Account Officer – Finance & Accounting

About the role
The Account Officer will manage financial transactions, ensure accurate record‑keeping and support financial reporting for a leading consumer products and logistics company in Nigeria.
Key responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, process invoices and reconcile balances.
- Monitor inventory levels, ensure accurate valuation and cost control.
- Track daily and monthly sales performance and assist in cash‑flow management.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenses against forecasts.
- Prepare financial statements and reports in compliance with regulations.
- Ensure tax compliance and support audit processes.
- Liaise with vendors and customers on financial matters.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- At least 1 year of accounting experience.
- Professional certification such as ACCA or ICAN is a plus.
- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and effective communication skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks or other ERP systems).
- Advanced Excel skills for handling large data sets.
