2W & 3W Assembly Production Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our 2‑wheel and 3‑wheel assembly plant in Lagos. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality finished goods on time, while controlling costs and ensuring a safe, lean manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and manage daily assembly‑line operations to meet volume, quality, cost and schedule targets.
• Monitor production schedules, resource allocation, takt time and workflow balancing.
• Lead, train and supervise assembly supervisors, line leaders and technicians, fostering continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering for smooth execution.
• Analyse and optimise productivity metrics such as OEE, downtime, cycle time, rejection rate and rework.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and EHS standards.
• Drive Lean initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, TPM, SMED) and problem‑solving methods (PDCA, RCA, FMEA).
• Manage material flow using JIT, pull systems or digital assembly control tools.
• Support New Product Introduction ramp‑up, changeovers and process validation.
• Report performance to senior management and recommend efficiency improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in assembly‑line management within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous‑improvement tools.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage a diverse workforce.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on productivity and quality metrics.
