Zonal Sales Manager (Dairy)

About the role

We are seeking a high‑performing Zonal Sales Manager to lead sales operations across the Northern region of Nigeria. The role focuses on driving sales growth, expanding market coverage, and strengthening distributor partnerships while managing a team of Area Sales Managers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver sales, volume, revenue, and market share targets across the zone.
• Lead, coach, and develop Area Sales Managers and field sales teams.
• Drive distributor performance, market penetration, and route‑to‑market execution.
• Expand distribution reach and ensure product availability across channels.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors and trade partners.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and identify growth opportunities.
• Ensure effective execution of trade promotions and visibility initiatives.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and business insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years FMCG sales experience, including leadership of regional/zonal sales operations.
• Proven success in distributor management, sales team leadership, and channel development.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong knowledge of the Northern Nigerian market is an advantage.
