Turkish Desk Manager

About the role

The Head of the Turkish Desk will build and maintain relationships within the local Turkish business community, driving engagement with SMEs, corporates and other stakeholders. This senior position reports to the MD/CEO of the Bank and is based onsite in Lagos.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and educate potential customers on the bank’s products and services and onboard new businesses.
• Monitor local market developments in Turkish SME and corporate financing and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Coordinate internal processes with legal, risk, compliance and other Access Bank services for new portfolio transactions.
• Prepare proposals, presentations and promotional materials for internal and external events.
• Develop and execute the Desk’s go‑to‑market strategy, manage budgets and meet financial metrics.

Required profile

• Strong interest in impact investing and sustainable business development.
• Proven ability to build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders in an international environment.
• Self‑driven, proactive, with a results‑oriented mindset and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Turkish; knowledge of Nigerian languages is a plus.
• Willingness to travel as required and at least 10 years of professional experience, preferably in financial services.
