About the role
We are looking for a Station Chef to lead the station’s preparation and cooking, ensuring high quality dishes and smooth service flow.
Key responsibilities
- Organise the section’s preparation and mise en place before each service.
- Cook and plate dishes accurately, maintaining quality during busy periods.
- Coordinate with other sections so complete orders leave the kitchen together.
- Guide Commis Chefs and check their preparation and cooking.
- Check ingredient quality, storage temperatures, date labels, and stock rotation.
- Monitor stock needs, submit requisitions and record waste.
- Maintain clean equipment and work areas, following hygiene and safety procedures.
- Report suspect ingredients, shortages, equipment faults or service delays promptly.
- Support menu trials, training, and kitchen opening and closing procedures.
Required profile
- OND qualification.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar chef role.
Required skills
- Food preparation and mise en place.
- Cooking and plating dishes.
- Stock management and waste recording.
- Food safety and hygiene practices.
