Solar Sales Marketer

About the role

SakoPower is a renewable energy company serving homes, businesses and other customers across Nigeria with solar inverters, lithium batteries, solar panels and related power solutions. It is looking for a Solar Sales Marketer to grow its customer base in Lagos by understanding energy needs and recommending suitable products. The role is based in Lagos and involves engaging customers in the local market.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage prospective residential and business customers through outreach, referrals and local market development.
• Assess customer power requirements and explain suitable solar products and solution options clearly.
• Prepare sales proposals and quotations, follow up on leads and guide customers through the purchase process.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, answer product questions and coordinate with technical and customer support teams as needed.
• Track sales activity, customer feedback and market trends, and give regular updates to management.
• Represent SakoPower professionally at customer meetings and promotional activities, working toward agreed sales targets.

Required profile

• Demonstrated sales, marketing or business development ability, including prospecting and lead follow-up.
• Experience in renewable energy.
• Strong spoken and written communication, presentation, negotiation and customer relationship skills.
• Ability to understand customer electricity needs and explain solar panels, inverters, batteries and solution benefits in accessible terms.
• Confidence preparing quotations or proposals and keeping accurate customer and sales records.
• Self-motivated, target-oriented, organized, persistent and able to solve problems; teamwork and sound judgment when coordinating with technical and support colleagues.

Required skills

• Comfort using smartphones, email and basic digital tools to communicate with prospects and record activity.
