Social Media & Content Specialist

About the role

IJAN Africa, a digital school in Lagos, Nigeria, is hiring a full-time hybrid Social Media & Content Specialist. The role plans, creates and publishes engaging content across the school's social media channels, including text, graphics, video and stories, and works closely with training and admissions teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage social media calendars and monitor trends
• Create and publish content aligned with the school's mission and programs
• Handle community management, responding to comments and messages
• Collaborate with training and admissions teams to promote courses
• Measure performance using analytics tools
• Support broader digital marketing campaigns and optimize content for reach and engagement
• Contribute ideas to improve the school's online presence

Required profile

• Skills in social media marketing and content creation for platforms such as Instagram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok
• Digital marketing skills, including campaign planning, audience targeting and basic analytics
• Strong written and verbal communication, able to tailor messages to different audiences
• Ability to work in a hybrid setting, manage time and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Understanding of the education or training sector and interest in digital skills development in Africa is an advantage
• Relevant academic background or certifications in marketing, communications, media or related fields are preferred
