Senior Consultant – Gender Equality Programmatic Review (Remote + travel)

About the role

UNICEF Nigeria is seeking an experienced senior consultant to lead a comprehensive Gender Equality Programmatic Review. The assignment will evaluate gender integration across UNICEF’s programmes and operations in Nigeria and shape the next Country Programme (2028‑2032).

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a desk review and produce a detailed review report.
• Develop a draft mission agenda and present preliminary findings to stakeholders.
• Prepare a debrief slide deck and a draft GPR report with agreed gender‑equality priorities.
• Deliver a final GPR report and draft Gender Action Plan to inform the Strategic Moment of Reflection.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s) in Gender Equality, International Development, Social Sciences, Public Health or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of technical experience in gender‑equality programming or research.
• Proven experience supporting country programme teams with gender or social‑inclusion assessments.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication, with strong presentation skills.
