Corporate Learning & Development Officer

About the role

The Learning & Development Officer will design and deliver training solutions that enhance client capabilities and support business growth for a boutique consulting firm operating across key Nigerian sectors. The role involves identifying learning needs, creating curricula, and building strong client relationships to ensure repeat business and revenue expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Develop curricula for corporate courses delivered to clients in Power, Oil & Gas, Financial Services, Manufacturing and other sectors.
• Design learning solutions proposals and coordinate delivery via virtual or physical modes.
• Conduct training needs analysis surveys and research to track changing client requirements.
• Drive business development at executive levels and deepen existing B2B relationships.
• Produce weekly and monthly performance reports and meet quarterly market share and financial targets.
• Ensure 100% on‑time delivery of client programs and compliance‑mandated training.

Required profile

• HR or related degree with a 2:1 or first class from a top‑tier university.
• Minimum 5 years of Learning & Development experience, including curriculum development.
• Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets at executive levels.
• Excellent business writing, presentation and verbal communication skills.
• Strong B2B business development ability, preferably with experience in Financial Services, Technology or Energy sectors.
