Security Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Security Engineer to safeguard our critical digital assets and infrastructure from evolving cyber threats. You will be the frontline defender, implementing robust security measures, hunting for vulnerabilities, and responding rapidly to incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor security alerts from SIEM, EDR, firewalls and other tools to detect and investigate malicious activity.
• Lead incident response, performing containment, eradication, forensic analysis and root‑cause remediation.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on networks, applications and cloud environments.
• Configure, manage and optimise firewalls, WAF, IDS/IPS and endpoint protection solutions.
• Develop automation scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to streamline repetitive security tasks.
• Help implement and enforce IT security policies and controls, ensuring compliance with standards such as ISO 27001.
• Contribute to company‑wide security training initiatives to raise awareness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in a cybersecurity role (Security Engineer, SOC Analyst, Network Security Administrator).
• Proven experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), SIEM platforms (Splunk, Elastic, Sentinel) and EDR tools (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
• Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, network segmentation).
• Hands‑on experience securing cloud platforms, preferably AWS or Azure.
• Solid administration skills for Windows and Linux environments.
