Personal Banker

About the role

The Personal Banker will proactively manage a portfolio of retail clients, delivering comprehensive, relationship‑based banking solutions. This role focuses on building trust, providing expert advice on lending and credit products, and ensuring customers receive a high level of service throughout their banking journey.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, build and strengthen relationships with customers to retain them and generate referrals.
• Inform customers about lending applications (vehicle finance, home loans, overdrafts, credit cards, personal loans) and credit maintenance processes.
• Conduct needs analyses for new and existing customers to match product opportunities with their priorities.
• Identify and act on cross‑sell opportunities within the portfolio to maximise lifecycle revenue.
• Manage the portfolio to optimise fees, margins and sales while minimising costs and risks, maintaining a strong customer relationship.

Required profile

• University degree.
• Minimum 3 years experience in personal or private banking, preferably in a branch environment.
• Strong knowledge of banking products, compliance procedures and relevant financial regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to follow procedures, manage tasks and meet timescales.
