About the role
We are looking for an experienced Mandarin Translator to provide accurate written translations between Chinese and English for an industrial construction site. The role supports daily communication among Chinese and local staff and helps supervise cross‑cultural interactions.
Key responsibilities
- Translate written documents and communications from Chinese to English and vice versa.
- Collaborate with site and Chinese construction managers, engineers, technicians, operators and general employees.
- Ensure translations are clear, accurate and culturally appropriate.
- Assist with supervision to facilitate effective cross‑cultural communication on the construction site.
Required profile
- OND/HND/BSC in any discipline.
- Fluency in both written and spoken Chinese and English.
- At least HSK 4 or above certification.
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
- Experience in an industrial construction environment as a translator supervisor is a plus.
