Legal Associate

About the role

Busha is seeking a proactive Legal Associate to join its Legal and Compliance team, acting as a commercial enabler and helping the business navigate complex regulatory landscapes while driving growth.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, and build internal tools such as clause libraries and playbooks.
• Conduct deep‑dive legal research on emerging developments in virtual assets, blockchain, payments and global financial services, translating complex laws into clear compliance notes.
• Support entity registration, regulatory approvals, permit management and corporate secretarial functions across all operating jurisdictions.
• Assist with regulatory inquiries, investigations, disputes and litigation, acting as liaison with external counsel, regulators, auditors and service providers.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of post‑qualification legal experience in fintech, a fast‑growing tech startup, or a top‑tier commercial law firm’s technology/finance practice.
• Strong commercial‑enabler mindset with problem‑solving orientation.
• Foundational knowledge of corporate law, commercial contracting, payments infrastructure and emerging digital‑asset/VASP frameworks.
• Digitally native, highly organised and eager to adopt legal tech and automation.
