About the role
We are looking for a Junior Chef to join our kitchen team at Jades of Green Consulting in Lagos. The role involves supporting the Chef de Partie with food preparation and ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Wash, peel, cut, weigh, and portion ingredients as instructed.
- Prepare basic components such as sauces, garnishes and accompaniments under supervision.
- Assist the Chef de Partie with cooking, plating and replenishing mise en place during service.
- Label and store ingredients correctly and follow stock‑rotation procedures.
- Keep the assigned station, utensils and equipment clean and organised.
- Report shortages, spoilage, mistakes and equipment faults promptly.
Required profile
- Minimum qualification: OND.
- At least 3 years of previous experience in a similar role.
