Internal Control Officer

About the role

The Internal Control Officer will ensure that the branch complies with Daily Need Distributors' internal control standards and safeguarding procedures. Working closely with the senior internal control officer, you will monitor stock, cash and third‑party transactions to protect company assets.

Key responsibilities

• Verify weekly and monthly warehouse stock levels in line with SOPs.
• Conduct daily closing stock‑takes for sales representatives and report irregularities immediately.
• Reconcile cash registers, ensure cash is banked, and flag any discrepancies.
• Perform third‑party accounts receivable verification and report findings.
• Identify and report wrong entries, reversals or suspected fraud in the SAGE Pastel system.
• Review expense requests for proper authorization, necessity and price fairness.
• Maintain high integrity, honesty and loyalty while executing duties.

Required profile

• Minimum BSC/HND in Accounting, Audit, Banking or Finance.
• At least 12 months of experience in sales or related financial functions.
• Ability to read and write English proficiently.
• Residency near Kubwa or Nyanya (Abuja area).
• Responsible, well‑mannered and detail‑oriented.
