Infrastructure Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a remote Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud and on‑premises systems for a global technology leader. The contract position offers flexibility to work from anywhere while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure high availability, security, and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and manage scalable infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, and implement automation to reduce manual effort.
• Enforce security best practices, including IAM policies, network segmentation, and compliance standards.
• Partner with development teams to optimise cost, performance, and scalability of services.
• Design and implement disaster‑recovery and backup strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong scripting abilities in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Hands‑on knowledge of containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
• Understanding of networking concepts like VPC, subnets, load balancers, and firewalls.
