Fund Accountant – Manage Pension Fund Accounts

About the role

The Fund Accountant will maintain the books of accounts for all funds managed by Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited, ensuring accurate recording of assets and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with Investment Management, Benefit Management and Business Development teams within the compliance framework to optimise client satisfaction.
• Perform daily cash reconciliation, periodic asset reconciliation, payments, transfers and monthly portfolio reconciliation against custodian positions.
• Attend entrance and exit audit meetings and support financial audits of the funds.
• Regularly review financial records and accounts of all funds under management.
• Prepare and submit the monthly Risk Management Assessment Report to the National Pension Commission.

Required profile

• BSc in Finance or Accounting plus ACCA, ICAN or CIMA certification.
• 3‑4 years of finance experience with strong product knowledge and effective communication.
• Behavioural competencies: positive thinking, goal orientation, teamwork and meeting timescales.
