Fleet Supervisor

About the role

Kenex Konsults International is hiring a Fleet Supervisor in Marina, Abia State, Nigeria. The supervisor oversees the daily activities of drivers and the effective use of company vehicles, ensuring they are roadworthy, properly documented and compliant with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise drivers' daily activities and monitor vehicle movements, trip schedules, fuel consumption and mileage.
• Coordinate routine servicing, repairs, inspections and maintenance, and investigate breakdowns, accidents and incidents, preparing reports.
• Keep accurate records of vehicle usage, maintenance costs, fuel expenses and driver activities; track vehicle availability and allocate vehicles by operational need.
• Monitor driver conduct, punctuality, performance and adherence to safety standards.
• Manage vehicle registration, insurance, roadworthiness certificates and other documentation.
• Identify ways to reduce fuel costs, maintenance expenses and fleet downtime, and liaise with mechanics, vendors and transport contractors.
• Prepare regular fleet performance reports for management.

Required profile

• HND or Bachelor's degree in Transport Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience in fleet management, transport operations or a similar supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, road safety regulations and fleet operations.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Integrity, attention to detail and accountability.
• A valid driver's licence and knowledge of local routes are an advantage.

Required skills

• Ability to manage drivers, schedules, vehicle records and operational costs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and fleet management software is an added advantage.
