Packaging Officer (Refurbished Terminals)

About the role

Moniepoint Inc., Africa's all-in-one financial platform and Nigeria's largest merchant acquirer, is hiring a Packaging Officer for its Repair Operations department in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The officer ensures that refurbished terminals passing quality assurance (QA) are properly packaged, labelled and logged before being sent to inventory for distribution. The role is onsite and outsourced.

Key responsibilities

• Receive QA-approved refurbished terminals and verify the packaging checklist (charger, cable, frosted bag, serial label and packaging carton).
• Pack only terminals with valid QA approval, making sure all OK terminals are powered and checked before packaging.
• Log every packaged terminal in the system with full packaging details and track daily and weekly packaging performance against targets.
• Initiate the push and collection of terminals to or from inventory officers and maintain accurate records of packaged and unpackaged terminals.
• Report discrepancies or damaged items immediately and reject terminals that do not meet packaging standards, giving valid reasons and returning them to inventory.
• Follow and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for packaging and materials usage.
• Collaborate with repair and QA teams to identify process issues and suggest improvements to the packaging workflow or material usage.

Required profile

• Preferred: OND / HND / Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Preferred: prior experience in electronics handling, warehouse packaging or operations support.
• Ability to follow structured workflows and good written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical stamina to handle and package devices for extended periods in a warehouse or repair centre.
