Finance Advisory Manager – Banking & Financial Institutions

About the role

The Finance Advisory Manager will drive growth of PwC's Finance and Accounting Advisory practice by shaping and converting opportunities with banks and major financial institutions, while leading high‑quality delivery of finance transformation, performance management, funding and accounting advisory engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities with banks, development finance institutions, insurers, asset managers and fintech firms.
• Lead finance and accounting advisory engagements covering finance transformation, performance management, funding, accounting standards implementation and treasury advisory.
• Manage project economics, resourcing, billing and profitability to meet agreed targets.
• Translate market, regulatory and technology trends into thought‑leadership, client workshops and repeatable service offerings.
• Supervise and coach project teams, ensuring high‑quality, commercially relevant deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration; professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA or CFA preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, treasury or financial‑services advisory, with at least 2 years in a managerial or engagement‑lead role.
• Proven experience working with banks or large financial institutions, including business development and advisory delivery.
• Strong understanding of finance transformation, operating‑model design, regulatory requirements and capital optimisation.
