Executive Housekeeper

About the role

The Executive Housekeeper leads the housekeeping department of the hotel, overseeing guest rooms, public areas, laundry and back‑of‑house operations. This role ensures that all areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and guest satisfaction while managing costs and staff performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and back‑of‑house.
• Develop and enforce cleaning standards, checklists, and inspection routines.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise housekeeping staff.
• Manage inventory of linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies; control departmental costs.
• Coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance on room readiness, repairs, and guest requests.
• Conduct regular room and public area inspections; enforce corrective action where standards fall short.
• Prepare departmental reports (staffing, supply usage, inspection outcomes) for management.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant housekeeping experience.
• At least SSCE level education.
• Strong leadership and staff supervision abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective time‑management and ability to handle inventory and stock control.
• Working knowledge of cleaning standards, chemicals, and equipment.
• Ability to train and motivate a team.
