Engineer II – Maintenance & Guest Services

About the role

The Engineer II provides on‑site maintenance support for a hotel, responding to guest repair requests and ensuring all building systems operate safely and efficiently. Working with minimal supervision, the engineer performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs across multiple disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, equipment, and building systems.
• Inspect, locate, and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts, and document shift activities.
• Execute mid‑level troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and act as Engineer on Duty when required.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all safety and security policies.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
• Commitment to safety standards and professional appearance.
• Willingness to mentor junior staff and take on Engineer on Duty duties.
