Electrical Manager

About the role

Dangote Industries Limited is looking for an Electrical Manager for its Gboko plant. The role follows instructions from top management and gives critical direction to the sectional operations manager so that production equipment stays in perfect working condition and is available at the lowest possible cost of reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day maintenance and ensure trouble-free operation of all electrical equipment, from the crusher to the packing plant, including the power plant.
• Coordinate and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance with the relevant section heads.
• Track stores inventory and consumption regularly.
• Work with NEPA and local authorities to ensure efficient use of grid power.
• Ensure all electrical equipment complies with DCP and local safety regulations, and with NIS ISO 14001:2015 (EMS), ISO 9001:2015 (QMS) and ISO 45001:2018 (OHSMS).
• Prepare, check and hand over daily power generation and consumption reports to production, and act immediately on deviations in energy use.
• Carry out maintenance safely and professionally, according to industry standards, environmental restrictions, OEM recommendations and DCP SOPs.
• Oversee technical staff, enforce accident prevention and occupational health procedures, and plan OJT and classroom training.
• Protect materials, tools and equipment, and take other assignments from management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or HND degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 18 years of post-qualification experience.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cement products and cement manufacturing processes.
• Expert knowledge of maintenance management, predictive inspection tools and CMMS.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering and industrial automation.
• Knowledge of safety legislation, ISO 9000 standards and TPM.
• Good oral and written communication, teamwork and organizational awareness.
