Data Analyst - Business (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Business Data Analyst to join a global software and data infrastructure leader on a contract basis. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while turning complex data sets into actionable business insights.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends and patterns.
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and regular reports for key metrics.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define data requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Produce ad‑hoc visualisations and reports to support decision‑making across departments.
• Perform data validation and quality checks to guarantee accuracy and consistency.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Self‑motivated with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SQL for querying relational databases.
• Experience with data‑visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Knowledge of Python or R for data processing and analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills, including functions and pivot tables.
• Understanding of statistical analysis and data‑modeling techniques.
