Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

About the role

Agriarche is building an agricultural operating system across Africa, combining physical infrastructure, digital technology, logistics, financial services and market access. It is hiring a Chief Financial Officer in Lagos or Abuja, Nigeria, who reports to the CEO and builds a world-class finance function supporting growth, governance and institutional capital.

Key responsibilities

• Financial reporting and control: management accounts, board reports, financial statements, budget variance analysis, financial controls, audit readiness
• Treasury and working capital: cash flow, liquidity, banking relationships, FX management, capital allocation
• Financial planning and analysis: budgets, forecasts, financial models, scenario planning, unit economics, dashboards
• Fundraising and capital management: debt and equity fundraising, investor due diligence, data rooms, commercial paper execution, investor reporting
• Capital markets and structured finance: develop capital markets strategy, structure commercial paper and warehouse finance, lead rating agencies and arrangers, design blended finance structures, advise on capital structure, support future bond and private placement transactions
• Tax, compliance and governance: tax, statutory filings, internal controls, regulatory reporting, audit coordination
• Business partnership: commercial decision support, pricing and profitability, investment analysis, executive financial advice

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline; ACA/ACCA/CPA required; MBA or Masters is an advantage
• 8-12 years of finance experience, including 5+ years in senior finance leadership
• Institutional fundraising experience and experience with banks, DFIs or investors
• Commercial paper and structured finance experience preferred
