Accountant – Real Estate Finance (Mid Level)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Accountant to manage financial records and support the growth of our real estate business in Abuja. The role involves handling accounting operations, budgeting, and financial reporting for property development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
• Prepare financial statements, management accounts, and periodic reports.
• Monitor cash flow, track expenditures, and ensure proper financial planning.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Reconcile bank statements and account balances regularly.
• Monitor project budgets, property development costs, and construction expenses.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial projections to support business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards, and statutory reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in accounting, finance, or related field; professional qualification (ICAN or ACCA) is an advantage.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in real estate, property development, or construction.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial management.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Proactive, hands‑on attitude and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• High integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Familiarity with financial management tools.
