Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage cost accounting, SaaS revenue recognition, and statutory compliance for our bio‑manufacturing and technology operations in Lagos.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain cost accounting frameworks for bio‑refining operations, tracking cost‑per‑ton metrics, COGS and inventory valuation.
• Oversee SaaS billing, invoicing and IFRS 15 revenue recognition for subscription and ESG data services.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local standards.
• Ensure statutory tax compliance (CIT, VAT, WHT, PAYE) and coordinate external audits.
• Manage payroll, pension, NHF contributions and daily treasury positions, optimizing multi‑currency cash flows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• ACA (ICAN) or ACCA qualification (or advanced stage).
• 3–6 years progressive accounting experience, preferably mixing manufacturing cost accounting and SaaS revenue accounting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, cost accounting, inventory valuation and Nigerian tax regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP and cloud accounting tools such as Odoo, NetSuite, Zoho Books, QuickBooks or SAP.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Practical expertise in IFRS 15 revenue recognition.
