Senior ICU Nurse – Critical Care Specialist

About the role

The hospital is expanding its intensive care capacity and seeks an experienced Senior ICU Nurse to deliver high‑quality, complex care to critically ill patients in a JCI‑accredited private tertiary facility on Victoria Island, Lagos.

Key responsibilities

• Provide patient‑centered care for medical, surgical and cardiac ICU patients, managing ventilators, cardiac monitors and infusion pumps.
• Administer vasoactive drugs, perform hemodynamic monitoring and advanced IV therapy.
• Lead rapid emergency responses such as Code Blue with composure and clinical proficiency.
• Maintain accurate documentation using the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
• Mentor junior nurses, contribute to ICU protocol development and quality improvement.
• Work rotating 12‑hour day/night shifts, including weekends and public holidays, ensuring 24/7 coverage.
• Uphold compliance with JCI accreditation standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent.
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nigeria (or willingness to convert immediately).
• Minimum 5 years of ICU/critical‑care experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
