Officer, Domestic Payments

About the role

The Domestic Payments Officer is responsible for the end‑to‑end processing of electronic payment transactions within the bank. You will ensure that all inbound and outbound ACH, bulk salary, and other electronic payments are executed accurately and in compliance with bank policies.

Key responsibilities

• Process inward and outward ACH transactions, bulk salary payments, and other electronic transfers.
• Reconcile suspense accounts and perform first‑level call‑over of generated entries to correct errors promptly.
• Handle NAPS and NIP transactions on the iBranch Collect platform, direct‑debit mandates on the CMMS platform, and incoming e‑Reference on the EDMMS platform.
• Review payment instructions for policy compliance and upload them onto banking applications.
• Provide relationship managers with information on invalid transactions and support investigations of customer complaints.
• Participate in initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and operational performance metrics.
• Collaborate with other departments to implement best practices and maintain a standard approach.

Required profile

• BSc in Economics, Accounting or a related field (professional certification is a plus).
• Minimum of one year experience in banking operations, preferably within corporate financial services.

Required skills

• ACH transaction processing.
• Experience with iBranch Collect, CMMS, and EDMMS platforms.
• Reconciliation of suspense accounts.
• Compliance review of payment instructions.
