Maintenance Engineer – Plant Asset Care Manager

About the role

The Asset Care Manager will lead the plant maintenance strategy for Seven‑Up Bottling’s Lagos facility, ensuring high asset reliability and optimal cost efficiency. This senior position reports to senior operations leadership and works closely with production teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute maintenance strategies aligned with global best practices.
• Plan and schedule annual overhauls of production lines and facilities.
• Increase preventive maintenance to minimise breakdowns and reduce mean time between failures.
• Prepare and control the annual plant maintenance budget.
• Manage spare parts and maintenance material inventories.
• Lead change‑management initiatives within the engineering/maintenance department.
• Participate in infrastructure and process optimisation projects.
• Evaluate corrective actions using data and maintain product and package quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 8–10 years of hands‑on FMCG operation and maintenance experience.
• At least 3 years in a managerial role within a beverage bottling company.
• Proven experience in budgeting and people management.
