Infrastructure Technician – Permanent (Ibadan)

About the role

Join GVA, a subsidiary of the CANAL+ Group, as an Infrastructure Technician in Ibadan. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing telecom and power infrastructure, ensuring reliable service for our high‑speed internet network.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on generator sets, air‑conditioning units, and network equipment.
• Install, commission, and test new telecom and power infrastructure (VCC, VAC, DC/AC systems).
• Create weekly task schedules, document interventions, and produce operational reports.
• Assess risks, prepare hardware and tool requirements, and communicate intervention impacts.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, PPE usage, and local regulations.
• Assist in drafting tenders and monitor infrastructure project progress.

Required profile

• Technical background in telecom, electrical, or related infrastructure.
• Ability to work independently or within a team under the Engineering Manager.
• Strong organizational skills for planning and reporting.
• Commitment to zero‑accident safety culture.
